To get a script filled
Never gave me a choice of what I wanted and when Im pushing zero to get back to an operator, it is not allowing me to get back to an operator. It says its an invalid choice. Very poor system.
Preferred solution: I just want my stupid prescriptions filled
Horrible EMR
The EMR stops working multiple times a day. I work in a trauma center and am frustrated with having to re-boot the computer multiple times a shift.
I have spoken with IT and have been told that since the hospital is eventually changing to another product, the service from allscripts has all but become unbearable. The absolute worst EMR I have ever used in my 20 plus year as a provider.

The worst vendor I've ever dealt with
I've worked as a vendor in a different space, so I tend to be pretty understanding, but this company is the worst I've ever dealt with. It takes an act of Congress to get anything done, they refuse to communicate or own up to any of their mistakes or short comings and continue to double down. Pick a different EHR or PM provider.
Also, their software looks like it was built in 1995 with no updates since then.

I am a new Northwell employee & I don't have the Allscripts icon in my Citrix Workspace. I am still waiting for this issue to be resolved.

Terrible product with horrible customer service
Allscripts was bad when it came out and what is frustrating is that over 5 years has not advanced. They just add more clicks in non-intuitive workarounds.
The fact that you cannot long in on a second location is so annoying; you have to figure where you were, go back, open the program and then close the chart. Allscripts delivers 1995 functionality at 2021 prices

Constant issues w/program!!! You call customer service and they are all very nice but mostly they just log a case and say there is a widespread issue and will call you when they can resolve it.

Do not get this
This computer system is always going down. On a busy Monday morning it's been down for 3 hours already, I cannot make appointments, give receipts, do anything.
What a waste of a computer program.
I hate it. If I could give it no stars, I would.

Allscripts Cloud PM has nothing but issues. Whether it's having an outage, printers not working, data missing etc, there are issues almost daily.
The best thing though is when they told us they migrating to new server, so we would need to use a new link to access it. We deployed the new link to hundreds of users and had nothing but issues for over a month.
Now all of sudden the new link stopped working and we are told we should be using the old link.Allscripts. So the old link is working, but for some people their data is missing and the remote server is using an unlicensed version of Windows server...
the other great thing is that Cloud only works in Internet Explorer. I mean the least secure browser in existence...

I highly recommend NO ONE get Allscripts PM. We have had them one year at my job and they are horrible!
Server is either going down, slow connection, always something with this system. Save yourself the time and headache and look at ANY other option!
Terrible
My 60 month contract ended a year ago and they continue to send me bills even though I gave them 12 months notice My practice was closing. They don't respond to filing a case, or phone calls.
They sent me only a spreadsheet claiming the contract is going on another 18 months beyond the contract end date.
I invested over $25,000 for set up and training for the system at the onset of the signed contract. No coherent explanations given as to why I should continue paying.
Couldn't Find worse if you tried
sequence of events..
1. Was interested in seeing a demo and purchasing PM/EHR for Practice
2. Called twice to no avail.
3. Filled out 2 contact forms to no avail.
4. Called a 3rd time asking why was told to go online to website and find contact phone numbers and call someone else to ask because Nicole doesn't know why.
5. Nicole wouldn't give her last initial.
6. WHY WOULD ANYONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WANT TO ENGAGE IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH THESE PEOPLE AND IF THE PEOPLE ARE SO SO SO HORRIBLE HOW GOOD COULD THE PRODUCT BE!
7. it's not! RUN
I no longer want the demo, phone call, I will be spending my time sharing with everyone just how horrible this company is and to stay away because I can guarantee nothing but problems.
Terrible Connectivity
My practice uses this software and it's terrible. What a scam.
Every other day it's down for some issue. You call there and they say we will call you back when it's up and that's 7 hours later if they even resolve it that day. Go out of business please. It's probably because this *** software is being run on Windows Server 2008 by a bunch of people who aren't even in this country but claim to be an American company.
Please off yourself so we can choose a different piece of software.
Most unreliable practice management software hands down. I can write better code with my hands tied behind my ***
Hideous in every way
Allscripts cloud server was attacked 6 days ago with ransomware. The company shut down PM and EHR and never told us what is going on.
Nobody contacts us for 6 days and they don't answer the phones. Our practice is crippled. Can't bill insurance, can't see our schedule or schedule any appointments. Can't write notes or prescriptions or see patient charts.
This is the worst customer service debacle I have ever seen.
They charge a great deal of money for this service and we are going to have to go the bank to get a loan to meet payroll. If you are looking at EHR's do NOT go with Allscripts.

Allscripts continued server problems
Once again---cannot get into Allscripts EMR due to "server" problem. Second time this week.
Happening almost weekly. Office has been without EMR for the last 4 hours. Calls to Allscripts are met with a recording. Customer support is NONEXISTENT.
No explanation for these continued outages. Have had this EMR for 6 yrs---cloud hosted for the last 2 years and NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. Almost every week there is an outage that takes hours to correct. Company had 1.5 billion in revenue and cannot fix these problems?
Nonsense.
We are in the process of cancelling our contract and going to another EMR. WOULD NOT ADVISED ANYONE TO PURCHASE THIS EMR!!!
No customer service
I was locked out of my account 2 days ago during a manditory password change. I emailed them & telephoned twice.
The telephone line only allows me to leave messages. So far no response other than an automated email assigning a case number.
The worst software I have ever used!
Who ever designed this piece of crap you need a different profession. Obviously you have never worked a real job.
Probably havent been chewed out on a daily basis by patients wondering why their call takes 30 minutes. You have to put the patients dob and full name 3 TIMES just to open their chart. I hope you go bankrupt. You must really be offering this crap on the cheap.
Im sure you pay your employees slave wages too because your help desk doesnt even know what the *** their doing. Once again what a piece of ***.
Im going to have to quit my job because of the stress of having to tell my patients oh Im sorry we have new system and its a piece of ***, hope u dont mind being on the phone for 30 minutes just to schedule an appt or Im sorry you have chest pain but Ive got to create a visit first before I get even help you. I hope you get sued!

Allscripts Hosted solutions have been one disappointment after the other and unfortunately costly for a physician group.
100% agree with this review. ON premise not much better, Daily Issues, Allscripts just doing random work on servers causing more problems and even deleting licenses.
Physicians unable to log into EHR and require a server reboot. Worst of worst when it comes to EMR software.
