***BEWARE*** Allscripts support techs decode clients' personal EHR passwords and sign in under the names of actual office staff. Constantly.

After I caught them in the act, it was confirmed, in writing, by an Allscripts regional manager. They can sign in as any user, any time and do anything they want: view or download patient HPI, access physician information, create prescriptions, make changes to the practice's templates, etc. all under a real employee's name. The office would never know.

Even if the practice checks the audit log, they would have no way to know if it was really the employee who performed the action or if it was someone from Allscripts who'd hacked the user's password.

Allscripts doesn't tell their clients they can do this.

They also don't monitor their employees. Since the bulk of Allscripts support techs are in India, it's anybody's guess how/when/to whom/for what purposes they're doing it.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.
